Sanitary magnet traps and sanitary strainers are both used to ensure cleanliness and product integrity in the food and beverage manufacturing industries. They both look the same and come in stainless steel construction to work to remove impurities, but have their own strengths and are installed for different applications.
Sanitary Magnet Traps
Sanitary magnet filters are used to detect and remove ferrous particles. Magnetic rods are attract and trap even the finest metal impurities. The rods come in different strength levels at 8000 to 12000Gs, and can operate without frequent replacement.

Sanitary Strainers
Sanitary strainers are used to remove all sorts of particles, ferrous and non-ferrous. They come with a perforated plate cartridge then can also with accompanied with a mesh to trap very tiny contaminants. Over time, the mesh will get worn and needs to be replaced.

Sanitary magnet separators are usually installed in the final stages of processing to make sure the product is free from harmful metal fragments. Sanitary strainers are more versatile and are commonly used in areas ranging from water raw material filtration, water filtration, and final stage production.
