SMS Unions

The stainless steel SMS Union (Swedish Metric Standard) is comprised of an SMS round slotted nut, SMS male part, SMS liner, and SMS seal. SMS blanks and blank nuts with chain are also available.

The easiest way to identify an SMS Union is its L Shape Gasket. Another commonly used gasket profile is the square shaped gasket.

​

The SMS coupling is very commonly used in the sanitary industry. The liners do not have to be taken out of the male thread for dismounting. A SMS coupling has very short welding ends.
